5 Benefits of Starting Yoga

After a week spent sitting at a desk, literally my favourite thing is being able to properly stretch muscles and limbs while focusing on alignment. I feel my joints working for the first time in a week and my muscles get that really pleasant ache when you’ve worked them. It would be worth it just for the warm-up’s and cool down’s.

Physical activity

The type of yoga I do is far gentler than my gym sessions. But, as mentioned, you ache – you’re working your body in a softer way than pounding out 5k on the treadmill, challenging the muscles to loosen and stretch rather than making your heart race. It’s not about speed or strength, it’s about checking in with how you are feeling that day and how far you want to push yourself each week.

Pushing yourself

I am not flexible. My balance isn’t great. I have limited core strength (I’m working on it, people!). But by adding to the routine each week, I can see if yes, I do want to drop my hand low

How to Stop Thinking and Live in the Moment!

How do we stop thinking and live in the moment? We don’t have to look very far to realize that many people are trying to give us answers. These questions and answers provide a great starting place to explain what Sahaja Yoga meditation is and what makes a daily Sahaja Yoga practice special. In the next few articles we will look at this meditation in detail, but we’ll begin with a quick overview of four of the internet’s common answers to stop thinking.

Let’s take a look at the question first. How do you learn to stop thinking? Isn’t that just one more thing to think about? Can we even think about how not to think? Can we plan to avoid over-planning? How far can we get by worrying about how to stop worrying? Difficult questions for sure, and many people are looking for answers.

One thing is clear, to stop thinking we will need some different approaches to get around our mind’s usual habits. The current popularity of mindfulness and meditation might be part of something healthy, perhaps even something necessary for humankind’s progress, but there is just so much different information! To make things simpler and to save time, we surveyed the internet for the most common answers, tips and “life hacks” on the subject.

Reiki Energy Healing and Transmission for Peace

Person's Hand in Shallow Photo

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of alternative therapy commonly referred to as energy healing. It emerged in Japan in the late 1800’s and is said to involve the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner’s palms to their patient.

As a Reiki Master, I use the technique to channel healing energy from the universe to others in need. In our current environment, I’m certain that we could all use some divine peace to settle our active minds, and infuse our senses with peace.

In this session, I offer a reiki energy healing and peace transmission, to activate peace in your beingness.

Self Healing through Reiki — Awakening Journey

Since beginning my Reiki private practice, I have been performing self Reiki to make sure that I incorporate self care into my practice.  Usui Mikao, the founder of Reiki died of a stroke four years after his awakening on Mt. Kurama which manifested his ability to heal with his hands.  Subsequently, he created the current day, Reiki practice and taught it to many students, as well as healing four or five clients at the same time during these four years.  However, I believed that he was not diligent in self care that may have resulted in his death through a stroke. His story is a life lesson for all Reiki practitioners.

I have been providing Reiki therapy for my twin flame who has the same emotional and physical issues as me.  Therefore, after treating him, I would treat myself on the same issues.  Since performing self Reiki, many fears and buried emotions have come to the surface.  I have been experiencing nightmares regularly, disrupting my sleep nightly.  They deal mainly with self doubt, fears of failure, and fears of the unknown.  In these dreams, I do not feel at peace, and feel agitated, and unsettled.

How to balance your Chakras with Reiki

When we add chakras in the reiki, then many of the people think, what is the common between both of these, so they come together. However, they have come from different spiritual and cultural environments and traditions. Let me clear, both come from a different tradition, but still, they have many similarities.

Many of the Reiki practitioners use chakras in the Reiki healing process. Using chakras has become the first choice of Reiki healers instead of using tandens. By using chakras, they can use our body as a more energetic map and use reiki to heal our body by focusing his or her energy, where it is most needed.

How reiki balances your chakras:

Overall we can say that the chakras provide a physical alignment to our body and make the healing and transition process of energy very simple by giving you spiritual and emotional treatment. To know in detail, “How to balance chakras with Reiki?”, you need to go through this content.

5 tips for self-care. — Hello you.

mmmnnnnnnnn self – care. it’s one of those words / phrases that’s around a lot more often than it used to be, isn’t it? we hear it from our yoga teachers, our breakfast cereal boxes, our favourite clothing brands, our milk (or other alternative) cartons, our bosses, maybe even the postman + now, especially right now,  from the government….

…..but what does the term self-care mean to you? what do those two words really say to you + your lifestyle?

self-care + I have had a rocky road. in the past we’ve come together beautifully  + we’ve parted disastrously. it’s been ups + downs. however i can say with confidence that now, for the last few years + experiences, we’ve crafted a committed, strong + sustainable bond together. one that involves learning + adapting as we go. it means checking in with myself daily to see how I feel + where I’m at that day. to notice + listen with love + care.

i’ve put together 5 reliable tips to share with you…..

yours might look different + that’s good. it’s about trying things out, seeing what feels good + caring enough to stick with it.

drink water.

first thing in the morning, last thing at night + throughout the day. i drink mostly cups of half hot, half cold water, this way our bodies organs are able to use it quicker.
breathe deeply.

I start my day with breathing exercises that help me breathe deeper.
Here’s one you can try right away: take a big breath in through your nose, fill up the lungs as much as you can right down till you feel your stomach expand, then sigh it out long through the mouth. do this three times.

move daily.

this can vary + it’s good to listen to what feels nicest that day. it could be a gentle walk, some home yoga, easy stretching, a cardio work out or a run outside. maybe a dance to a fave song?mixing it up really helps to be excited about it

Energy healing through Reiki, Pranic & Hypnotherapy

New Delhi, March 11 (SocialNews.XYZ) We are the generation of “good vibes” and the moment we realize we arent getting good vibes from the people around us, or the surroundings, we prefer to move away from it. As human being we also have our own internal energies within our bodies. We all thrive on energy in spite of being brainwashed with the convenient methods of healing, we fail to recognize, acknowledge and embrace the energy within us. Our internal energy is an alternate for medicines, says Dr Shyam Nidugala, Chief Medical Officer, Nimba Nature Cure

By embracing the energy sources within us, we can purify and filter those energies that bring a feeling of positivity and give us the power to heal ourselves and others, she notes. She explains how energy can be healed through Reiki, Pranic and Hypnotherapy

Reiki- Healing Science — Reiki energy

Reiki is the Japanese word for Universal Life Force Energy. When the ‘Rei’ and ‘Ki’ are broken down into their two component parts, the Kanji (Japanese alphabet) definition for Rei is universal, transcendental spirit, mysterious power, essence. Ki is described as the vital life force energy, very similar to the Chi of Chinese acupuncture, Light to Christians, and Bioplasmic Energy to Russian researchers.
We all have Reiki energy (Universal Life Force Energy), for it is our birth right. What makes Reiki different from other healing methods, is the attunement (Also known as the initiation) process which the student experiences in the various levels of Reiki classes. Anyone can lay their hands on another person and help accelerate the healing process by transferring magnetic energy. A person who has been through the process of Reiki attunements however has experienced a very ancient technology for fine tuning the physical and etheric bodies to a higher vibratory level. In addition, certain of the energy centres, also known as chakras, are opened to enable the person to channel (And vibrate) higher amounts of Universal Life Force Energy.

Reiki is never sent, it is drawn through the channel. For example, If I lay my hands on you to do a treatment, you will draw appropriate amounts of energy to which ever areas of your body need it. I am never drained in the process, as I too am treated as I “Give” a treatment. The energy enters at my crown chakra and passes through the upper energy centres to my heart and solar plexus. The rest then passes through my arms and hands to your body. I am thus never drained in the process, as a certain amount of energy is stored in me. However, at the same time, you do not take on any of my “stuff” (negative energy or blocks) as the Reiki passes through a purified channel in my body, opened by the attunements.

4 yoga styles for a gentle practice

If you haven’t jumped on the yoga craze yet, make 2020 the year you find out what you’re missing. From better strength and posture to gaining flexibility and calming the mind, yoga has all the benefits. Those who like to sweat usually go for an Ashtanga or hot yoga class, yet some others prefer a gentler practice. For a slow-paced class to de-stress and revitalize, try these four yoga styles.

1. Hatha

Those who are looking for a calming practice can certainly find it in Hatha yoga. The classes mainly focus on basic yoga poses, so Hatha is great for a beginner.

During Hatha, you’ll learn about pranayama, which means breathing techniques and asanas which refer to yoga postures. Essentially, it is breath control

Hatha is about achieving harmony between the energies of the sun and the moon, in spiritual terms. After a few weeks you’ll have all the basic poses down and will be ready for a more advanced class, if you wish to do so.

2. Kundalini

Kundalini yoga borrows many of its postures from Hatha, so the two are very similar in a physical sense. The difference is that Kundali generally uses more meditation, and chanting mantras with a strong focus on kundalini energy.
